For many faiths, the dove has been the symbol of the human soul. Watching these elegant birds take to the sky has provided many families a sense of peace.
Many families take comfort in writing special messages to a lost loved one on balloons and releasing them into the sky. Seeing these sentiments rise peacefully brings comfort to many.
For many, the stirring sound of bagpipes highlights the reverent and sacred nature of a funeral. Bagpipers’ skills vary considerably, and that is why we select only the very best musicians.
Some families like the idea of a “pure” funeral with everything used being natural or quickly biodegradable. We have the expertise to guide families who choose this.
Our exclusive Farewell Ride is a unique remembrance for the motorcycle enthusiast or an original way to personalize any loved one’s final journey.
Canopy of Ceremony
The Canopy of Ceremony will return in 2021.
Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services has taken the initiative to provide families with a 40 ft. x 50 ft. event canopy to hold traditional funeral services, celebrations of life, wake, or memorial receptions outdoors.
“Our new Canopy of Ceremony gives families the opportunity to celebrate and remember their loved ones in a different environment outside of a place of worship or the funeral home.”
