Setrak Kaprielian, 84, passed away May 3, 2022 due to late stage alzheimers. He lived in White Plains, NY
Setrak was born 03/05/1938 in Elasig Turkey. HIs parents Arshaluys and Sarkis Kaprielian were genocide survivors.
Setrak was an auto body mechanic. He was able to finish elementary school and as a teenager, he went to night school and learned the Armenian Alphabet. He would write to his aunt in Lebanon with the armenian letters but since he couldn't speak armenian, he would write in Turkish words. He was a very faithful Armenian. He was a member of the St. Gregory Armenian Church in White Plains, NY.
Setrak was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and enishte(brother in law). He is survived by his wife Nargiz Kaprielian, his son James and daughter in law to be Irena, his daughter Anita and son in law Aram Baberian and grandchildren Ari and Aren Baberian. He was preceded in death bv his parents Arshaluys and Sarkis, brothers Jirayr and Ohannes.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday May 7, 2022 at 10:30am at St Gregory The Enlightener Armenian Church, 1131 North Street, White Plains, NY 10605.
