Ralph M. Lanni

Ralph Lanni passed away peacefully in his home on February 20, 2022, at the age of ninety-one.  Ralph grew up in Greenburgh, NY.    He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Domenica (Mickey) Pugliese, and his children David, Laura, Maureen Regan (Kevin), Michael (Maureen), four grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his four brothers, three sisters, and his loving daughter Elaine Bizzoco (Michael).  After serving in the Navy during the Korean War Ralph became a carpenter.  He worked extensively in Westchester County and the surrounding areas.  While working for a construction company he was asked to build the gazebo located on Broadway in White Plains.  He was self-employed at the time of his retirement in 1992.  During his retirement, he was able to spend many sunny days fishing – his favorite pastime.  Ralph was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison.  He was a founding team member of the still popular annual fundraising “Festa Italiana” and enjoyed participating for many years.  Ralph and Mickey most enjoyed having their children and their families gather at their home for many holidays, birthdays, or just to get together.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Anthony of Padua Church or Hospice of Westchester.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 24th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, West Harrison, NY.  Friends may call on Wednesday, February 23rd from 4-8 PM at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains, NY.  Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
