Nancy Cook

Nancy Ann Cook passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the age of 89. Nancy was born in Ossining to the late Walter and Blanch Hewitt. A graduate of the 1950 Ossining High School, Nancy went on to attend Katharine Gibbs school. She was an exectutive secretary in the advertising department of the New Yorker magazine.

She loved to read, bowl and cook new recipes. She was noted for hosting large Christmas parties for her family. For over 60 years, she and her husband Donald vacationed in

Eastham, Cape Cod, Massachuesets with their children.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald, her children Elizabeth (Betsy) Perkins (Douglas), Polly Nadeau and Pete Cook, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy is also survived by her best friend of 70 plus years, Josephine Hatzmann. She loved her cat Brady.

Nancy was predeceased by her grandson, Jeffrey Cook in 2004, her sister Ruth Cambarieri and two nephews, David Cherico and Tom Cambarieri; she is also predeceased by her brother in law, Richard Cook and sisters in law Alice Cherico and Marion Lloyd.

Visitatation wll be held Saturda,  September 11 2021 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM at Ballard-Durand Funeral and Cremation Services (2 Maple Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601-5404. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
