Letitia F. Howard

Letitia "Tisha" Francine Howard was born in Westbury, NY on September 10, 1961 to the late William Torrance and Doretha Keith. She departed this life on September 3, 2022.

Letitia, known as Tisha by her friends and family, graduated from Martin Luther King High School in Manhattan. Letitia married John G Howard in 1983 and had two children through their union: Karema and Kwame Howard. She resided in Harlem before moving to Westchester County in 1998, where she was employed as a caregiver prior to retiring early for health.

Tisha was predeceased by her husband John Howard , parents William Torrance, and Doretha Keith, and her sister Rosemary Torrance. She leaves behind a host of family to cherish her memory; her children Kwame Howard, Karema Howard and Christina Heath; her granddaughter, Jada Durham; her nieces and nephews Armani Burt, Doretha Pengel, Ciara and Fabian Torrance; her grandnieces and nephews Reggie and Reagan Shaw, Ryleigh, Roman, and Ryan Pengel; her goddaughter, Janaa Wilson; and her best friend of over 20 years, Joanne Sherrer.

You were strong, resilient and family oriented. There was nothing that you wouldn't do for your family and friends and for that we are eternally and irrevocably grateful. Rest now and enjoy your everlasting peace; we will love you always and forever.
