Kenneth Collins

March 1, 1955 — November 29, 2022

White Plains, NY

Kenneth Collins of White Plains, New York overcame many health challenges before he was peacefully called home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, NY.

Kenneth was born a twin to Jeanne (Tommy) and Lloyd Wade Collins on March 1, 1955 in White Plains, NY. He was raised in Greenburgh, where he attended and graduated from schools in the Greenburgh Central School District. He also attended and received his certification from the Culinary Arts School in Hyde Park, NY.

Kenneth accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at Union Baptist Church at an early age.

He worked for Westchester County at the County Office Building in White Plains, NY. and White Plains Bus Company. Between those jobs, he lived in Mesa, AZ and Fresno, CA for several years.

Kenneth was very friendly, stopping to talk to most people whether he knew them or not, and always presenting a smile. He loved food and very often would convert the unimaginable into a sandwich. Kenneth loved working on cars. On one specific occasion, he took his new car apart and put it back together (while the car was still under warranty) so he would know how to fix it, if needed. He also was a sports enthusiast who followed different types of sports. He was a huge fan of professional football (NY Giants), professional and collegiate basketball. You rarely seen him without a newspaper in his hand or in his back pocket. Preferably, the New York Post.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory three children; Crystal Collins, Kenisha Collins, Ke'Vohn Collins; four grandchildren, Alaijah M. Torres, Tristen A. Frazier, Demi A. Garcia, Terrell A. Williams Jr.; three brothers,
Donald Smithson, twin Keith Collins, Stephen Collins (Sydney); three sisters, Sharon Carver, Lynn Collins Goods (Willis) and Donna Collins; one aunt, Terre Mauro; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
