Emilio Martelli

Emilio Martelli, an Elmsford resident, passed away on June 10, 2022 at the age of 96. He was born on March 27, 1926 in Lanciano, Province of Chieti Italy, to the late Luisa (Di Pietro) and Antonio Martelli. He served in the Italian Military after World War II. On October 31, 1957 he married his late wife Anna Vizioli in Colodimezzo, Italy. He was a loving husband to his beloved wife and had been married for 64 years until Anna's death in 2021. Emilio and Anna immigrated to the United States with their two children on November 22, 1963. Emilio worked as a highly skilled heavy machine operator/laborer and also worked as a landscaper. He retired in 1991 from The Village of Elmsford. Emilio was cherished and is survived by his son, Anthony (Diane) Martelli and daughter Silvana Daly. He was a loving and dedicated grandfather to his grandchildren; Michael (Kayleigh) Daly, Danielle Daly, Lauren (John) Rockenstire and Dawn (Greg) Schwarzenegger, three beautiful great grandchildren; John, Joe and Eliana and many nieces and nephews who reside in both America and Italy.
