Catherine Yue-Chin (Chen) Lee

We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Grandma Catherine. She died peacefully in our home in Ardsley.

Mrs. Catherine Yue-Chin Lee was born in Taipei, Taiwan, the youngest of 8 children. She emigrated to the United States in 1970 with her husband, the late Dr. Han-Chiang Lee. Fiercely intelligent and driven, she pursued and successfully obtained not only a Bachelor's Degree but also a Master's Degree in a country and a language completely new to her. Always elegantly dressed, she enjoyed visiting Lincoln Center, dining out and vacationing around the world with her husband. She was a talented musician and enjoyed singing in the local church choir and also volunteering at the local civic clubs in Scarsdale, NY, where she resided for over 30 years. In 2016, she moved in with her daughter Karen Lee Grolier and son-in-law, Jean-Marc Grolier, and their four children, Charlotte, Alex, Devin and Bryce. Surrounded by her family, she enjoyed lots of hugs and giggles, and maybe a lightsaber battle or two. We miss you Grandma Catherine.
