Bernarda "Betty" Villaraut

Bernarda "Betty" Villaraut, loving wife, mother of three, Nonna to five, and amazing cook passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
Betty was born on September 15, 1940, in Corleone, Italy. Betty was the oldest daughter of Gaetano and Maria DiMiceli. She grew up with a sister, Maria, and two brothers, Salvatore, and Vincenzo. Betty married Domenick Villaraut in 1962 and moved to New York. Betty was a successful business owner in the fashion industry. After Betty sold her business, she enjoyed more time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her daughter Laura Villaraut, son Paul Villaraut and his wife Lorena, and Daughter Mary Zarra and Husband Jerry. Her grandchildren, Anthony, Domenic, Allisson, Jerry Jason, and Dominique were her life. Surviving also, are her sister Maria (Italy) and her brother Vincenzo (TN). Betty's death was preceded by her husband Domenick and brother Salvatore.
Her greatest pleasures revolved around cooking and being around her family. She spent many weekends attending dinner dances and festivals with her beloved Domenick. Her holiday cookies, quiche, rice balls, pizza, zuppa de pesce, and sfincione were legendary. She will be missed by all.
