William Frederick Widulski, 62, of Mohegan Lake, New York, passed away on September 2, 2026. Born on July 3, 1964, William was born and raised in Scarsdale, New York, and throughout his life remained deeply connected to his family, friends, and the communities that meant so much to him.

William was the beloved eldest son of the late William Paul Widulski. He is survived by his mother, Rosemarie Widulski. He is also survived by his wife, Biljana, and his three beloved children, William Dragan, Izabella, and Skylar, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Laura, Elizabeth, and Brad Widulski; his uncle, Peter Widulski; his sister-in-law, Kristine Widulski; his nephew, Bradley William; and his niece, Jocelyn Marie.

William was an accomplished mathematician and computer scientist whose passion for learning and knowledge remained a defining part of his life. He earned his bachelor's degree from SUNY Purchase, a master's degree in Mathematics from NYU, and a master's degree in Computer Science from Polytechnic University. He shared his knowledge and passion for mathematics and computer science as a full-time professor at Westchester Community College. He was also a published author.

His love of learning extended well beyond mathematics and computer science. William also studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, reflecting another great passion that remained with him throughout his life. Music was an important part of who William was. He loved playing bass, listening to music, and especially enjoying live performances.

William had a tremendous appreciation for life and for the people who shared it with him. He loved spending time with his family and friends, having his daily conversations with the people he cared about, and making memories wherever he went.

He loved sporting events and enjoyed the excitement and camaraderie that came with them. He particularly looked forward to spending summers in Cairo, New York, creating memories and enjoying time with family and friends. He also loved making annual trips to the horse races in Saratoga, New York, where he enjoyed the atmosphere, the excitement, and the tradition of the races.

William had a love for good food and good company. He enjoyed cooking, especially sharing meals with family and friends. He had a particular appreciation for Serbian food, as well as fine steakhouses and restaurants. He enjoyed discovering great meals and sharing an incredible bottle of wine with the people he loved. He also enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places, always finding another adventure, restaurant, event, or experience to enjoy.

William also enjoyed spending time at the cigar club, where conversations, friendships, laughter, and good times were never in short supply.

But William will be remembered for much more than his accomplishments and interests.

William had a larger-than-life personality. When he entered a room, you knew he was there. He was known for making people laugh and smile, telling stories, joking around, and, as those who knew him best would say, busting balls. His humor, quick wit, strong opinions, and ability to bring energy into any gathering made him unforgettable.

He had a way of making ordinary moments memorable. Whether sitting around a dinner table, talking on the phone, listening to music, watching a sporting event, enjoying a cigar, attending the races, traveling, or simply spending time with family and friends, William brought his own unique personality and sense of humor to everything he did.

Above all else, William was devoted to his family. He treasured his wife and children and took great pride in raising his three children. His love for them was evident in the time he spent with them, the conversations they shared, and the memories they created together.

William was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Lake Mohegan, New York. He also believed in giving back to his community and made annual donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the local Police Benevolent Association.

William leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, knowledge, music, friendship, family, and an appreciation for living life to the fullest. He touched the lives of many people, and those who knew him will remember not only his intelligence and accomplishments, but his generosity, humor, personality, and enormous capacity to make people smile.

He was a loving husband, a devoted father, a cherished son and brother, a beloved uncle, nephew, and friend.

And to his brother Brad, William was more than a brother-he was his best friend. The two shared a bond that went far beyond being brothers. They shared laughter, conversations, experiences, and countless memories that will remain with Brad forever.

William will be missed tremendously by his family, his friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

He will never be forgotten.
