William Patrick Daly of White Plains NY, West Yarmouth MA and St Pete Beach, FL passed away peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital in a room overlooking his beloved Lewis Bay on Friday, August 7, 2026. His life and his last days were spent surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Coogan Daly, his parents, William F. and Belinda V. Daly and his sister Linda Daly Reagan. He is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Jackie Daly Johnson and David Johnson, Terri Daly Shank, and Kathleen Daly Mascolo and Harry Mascolo, his grandchildren, Bill Johnson, Anna (Johnson) Autry and Austin Autry, Taryn (Shank) Del Maestro and Nick Del Maestro, Harry Mascolo and James Mascolo, Rachel Mascolo and Alyssa and John Mascolo, and great grandchildren Anthony Del Maestro, Haley, Joseph, Eliana and Sophia Mascolo, Antonio and Dominic Martone, as well as his longtime caregiver Suzzette Hamilton, and niece and nephews Kelly, Shaun, Brendan and Ryan Stannard and Terry Reagan

Bill was born in the Bronx, NY and grew up in Eastchester NY. He graduated from Iona Prep and St Michael's College at the University of Toronto. He was honored to serve in both the US Navy and the US Marine Corps. He was the President and owner of Beacon Converters for over 45 years, bringing Beacon Converters from a small bag company into sterilization packaging. His children and grandchildren now run the business, along with treasured long time staff that are like family. In 1994, he co-founded the Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council with fellow business owners Bob Dodrill of Paxxus and Carl Marotta of Tolas Healthcare Packaging. After his retirement from Beacon in 2002, he volunteered at St Vincent de Paul in Hyannis for many years, a job he often called his most rewarding.

Bill loved sharing his great loves of a cold cocktail, a funny joke, boating, beach life and all things Irish with family and friends. His homes at Cape Cod were filled with extended family and friends of his grandchildren and he was Grandad to dozens. He happily hosted and entertained his guests with bagpipes and his drumming at three St Patrick's Day parties a year, Bagpipes on the Beach on Cape Cod, halfway to St Pats in NY, and the official St Pats by the pool at Sunrise Resort in St Pete.

Although he battled many illnesses in later years, he had remarkable determination and lived life to the fullest, always looking forward to the next event on his social calendar. His family wishes to express their gratitude to his longtime medical support team, physicians Dr. Muhammad Choudhury, Dr. Hasan Ahmad and RN Nina Kitt of Westchester Medical Center for their excellent care.

His funeral mass will be held on August 22, 2026 at 11 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, NY, where he served as an usher for over 50 years.
