William Crosbie

William Denis Crosbie, 89, of White Plains NY, and formerly of St. Andrews Jamaica, passed away July 11, 2025. Born June 10,1936, to the late Simon and Geraldine Crosbie. William is leaving behind a legacy of great memories of love, joy, kindness, modesty, integrity, and laughter to all whom he encountered throughout the years. He is survived by his eight children of twelve: Mr. Keith Edwards (wife Janet Edwards); Mr. Berrick Edwards (wife Juliet Edwards); Mrs.Vilma Edwards Pearce (husband Lascelles Pearce); Mrs. Merlene Crosbie Graham (husband Norris Graham); Mr. Charles Crosbie; Mr. Desmond Crosbie; Mr. Oral Crosbie; Mrs. Philecia Crosbie Long (husband Miguel Long); Mrs. Inez Alice Crosbie (wife, deceased); Mr. Cleveland Douse(husband of daughter Monica Edwards Douse, deceased); Mr. Anthony Edwards(deceased, wife Anitra Edwards); Myrrnah Crosbie(deceased); and Vincent Crosbie (deceased). Leaving behind 53 grandchildren, 104 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 1 grandpup (Nova), 3 sisters, 2 brothers, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended relatives, and friends. Despite humbling beginnings, William was above all, a hard worker. He believed in putting in the effort day after day and doing things the right way, not the easy way. Whether it was his job, his family, or helping a neighbor, he gave his full heart to everything he did. William left a legacy of strength, honesty, and resilience. And while we'll miss him more than words can say, his qualities are embedded in us. That is his gift to us. Thank you for everything; may his soul rest in peace.
