Whamon Pedrow, 80 of White Plains, passed away at White Plains Hospital on March 23, 2014. For the past few years he resided at Schnurmacher Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Whamon, who was born in Mt. Pleasant, New York on September 23, 1933 to the late Whamon and Margaret (Hargrove) Pedrow attended local schools. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1958.
Whamon, an avid drummer and jazz enthusiast, retired from Westchester Community College after 30+ years of service. He also worked for the National Casket Company and as an independent cleaning contractor.
Whamon is survived by his wife Marion (Hall); children Fitzallen Sessoms, James McRae, Clifford Pedrow, Whamon Pedrow, Jr., and Gloria Rivera. He is predeceased by son, Michael McRae.
