Vito Nazzareno Cirioni, 76, of West Harrison, passed away on November 12, 2021.

Vito was born on July 11, 1945, to Carlo and Berta Cirioni in Mondolfo, Italy. Vito and his family moved to Gueugnon, France in 1957 and later emigrated to the United States in 1963. Their family settled in Eastchester, New York.

Vito was educated in Italy and attended a professional trade school in France. In 1967, Vito was drafted to the United States Army. He was deployed overseas for one tour as a Military Policeman in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged with distinguished service and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

In 1970, Vito and his father started West-Fair Oak Floor Corp. As Owner and Operator, Vito provided the community with 51 years of continued service.

Vito met the love of his life, Rosemary Fusca, in 1978 during New Years’ Eve ski trip to Vermont. They married in 1979 in White Plains. Vito and Rosemary have four children, Carla Antoinette, Frank Anthony, Vito Vincent, and Andrew James. Vito was a loving husband, a caring father, and dedicated provider. Vito was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren who he loved deeply: Vincenzo Michele, Valentina Rose, Stella Grace, Caterina Ana, and Luca James.

Vito was an active parishioner, usher, and Lay Eucharistic Minister at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison. He was a devout Roman Catholic and dedicated to serving his church, community, and the Lord. Vito recently made a religious pilgrimage to Portugal, Spain, and France to visit historical Catholic sites.

Vito was a proud member of the Antonio Meucci Lodge #213 , Order Sons and Daughters of Italy In America (OSIA) in White Plains since 2003. During his tenure, he served as Principal Trustee, Second and First Vice President, and in 2016, Vito was honored as “Man of the Year.” Vito loved the lodge, its members, and its mission to promote Italian culture, traditions, and heritage. You could find him at the lodge several days a week playing bocce with his brothers and sisters.

Vito was predeceased by his parents, Carlo and Berta Cirioni, his uncle Gino Cirioni, and his father-in-law, Vincent Fusca. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, his sister and her spouse, Lidia and Paolino Pilano; his four children and their spouses: Carla and Michael Chiara, Frank and Yulina, Vito and Joanna, and Andrew; and his five grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass, will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 10:00 AM, at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison, followed by Entombment at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made by check to the Antonio Meucci Lodge #213 Inc. Scholarship Fund to create the Vito N. Cirioni Memorial Scholarship for college students from Italian American descent.
