Uma Iyengar

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Uma Mukund Iyengar, beloved wife of Mukund Iyengar, adored mother of Neil and Ravi Iyengar, and cherished grandmother of Aadhi and August Iyengar. She entered this world in Mysore, India, married in 1979, emigrated to the US in 1980 where she completed her Masters in computer engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology, followed by a distinguished career at Bell Labs / AT&T for over 30 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother which brought her to New York in 2021 to be with her family. May she rest in peace and joy in the protection of the Almighty.
