Thomas C. Guiffreda

Thomas C. Guiffreda of Hawthorne NY died February 22,2019 with his best friend Bruce Johnson by his side after a brief bout with cancer. Tommy dedicated his life to The Town of Mt Pleasant as he was a former member of The Valhalla Fire #1. He was a foreman with The Mt Pleasant Highway Department before joining The Mt Pleasant Police Department where he proudly served for over 20 years. Upon retirement you could always find him in one of several funeral homes again serving the public.  He was also a fixture at Rose Hill Shopping Center as well as other local establishments. He touched so many lives.  He was always willing to help anyone with nothing in return. He is survived by loving family and friends .  In his honor, a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 9th from 2-4 pm from his home The Hawthorne Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers Tommy was a long time donor to The Saint Jude’s Children Hospital and wished everybody would do the same.
