Theresa M. Canto 75, of Queens, Astoria, N.Y. died on Feb.19,2022 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. She was born to the late Carlo and Anna (nee Tringali) Canto on Feb.9,1947 in Siracusa, Sicily, Italy.  Theresa is survived by her loving sister Lucia (Frank) Knight of Pleasantville, N.Y. and brother, Richard Canto of Hartsdale, N.Y. also survived by her cherished nieces, Lauren Knight of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Joanna Knight of White Plains, N.Y. Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, Feb.28,2022 from 10 AM-11 AM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday, 11:30 AM. Entombment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN, would be appreciated.
