Tecolina Pontillo

Tecolina Pontillo (Tillie) 96, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on Oct.12,2022 at her residence.  She was born on Sept.7,1926 to the late Rosario and Rosa (nee Calio) Imbrosci in Bronx, N.Y. Tillie worked for Shoprite in Thornwood for many years in the Bakery Dept. She was known to be a young 96 who was loved and known to many and will be deeply missed. When friends asked her what was her secret to a long life, she answered, " a glass of wine a day". She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Pasquale Pontillo in 2011, her beloved son, Patrick Pontillo and daughter in law, Linda Pontillo and is survived by her loving son, John Pontillo and daughter, Christine (Greg Stoffer) Pontillo both of Thornwood, N.Y. also survived by her three cherished grandchildren, Steven (Lindsay) Umbro, Nicholas Pontillo and Kristie (Cody Cavalari) Pontillo. And two great grandchildren, Ella and Audrey Umbro. Also survived by many other wonderful family members and friends. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, Oct.17,2022 at 10 AM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. at 12 Noon. Interment to follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.
