Susan Deul

Susan Deul, 59, a long time resident of White Plains, New York, died at home on March 1, 2007. She is survived by her partner, Paul Arthur of Hartsdale, NY; a daughter Elizabeth Ocean and son-in-law Michael Ocean of Watertown, MA; a son Ethan Gould of New York City; a sister Judy Kalla and brother-in-law Jeffrey Kalla of Scituate, MA; and by her father, Maurice Deul of Pittsburgh, PA. She was a teacher at the Eastview School and Mamaroneck Avenue schools in White Plains. She was an innovative teacher specializing in the development of reading and writing skills as well as a dedicated classroom teacher. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania Academy of Arts and Pace University, she was an avid gardener, accomplished artist and a patron of the arts.
