Stephen Arena

Stephen Arena, 79 of Cortlandt Manor, NY, and formerly of Bronx, N.Y. passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. >

> Stephen was born on August 5, 1942, in New Britain, CT, to the late Frank and Mary Arena. The family later moved to New Rochelle, N.Y. Stephen attended Stepinac H.S. Where he enjoyed playing the saxophone. In 1964 he joined the National Guard Reserve. In 1965 he was married to his beloved wife Rosalie. They resided in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx and had two daughters Joann, predeceased, and Stephanie. Stephen worked as a Printer as part of The Amalgamated Lithographers Union Local 113, until his retirement. They moved to Ossining, NY in 1999 and we’re happily Married for 47 years until the untimely passing of his beloved Rosalie.  >

> Stephen is survived by his loving sister Maryann Arena, of Ridgefield CT, his daughter Stephanie Mulroy, son-in-law Thomas Mulroy, his grandchildren Madeleine and Thomas III. >

> Stephen will be most remembered for his strength, tenacity and generous heart. Stephen loved football and the N.Y. Giants to the extent his nickname was “Big Blue”.

> He was a true Gentleman, and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Friday, July 22,2022 at 11 AM. Interment to Follow.
