Seymour Page passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on December 28, 1924, in New York City, Seymour lived a life marked by love, learning, and service.
He was the beloved husband of Mona Page for 36 wonderful years, the devoted father of his late son Andrew, and cherished stepfather to Jodi Brodsky and Keith Schorsch. Seymour took great joy in being a loving grandfather to his four grandchildren — Rachel, Michael, Benjamin, and Samuel — who brought him great pride and happiness.
A lifelong learner, Seymour earned his undergraduate degree in Education from Hunter College, followed by two master’s degrees in Guidance Practice and Administration from Columbia University and New York University. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II before beginning an extensive career as an educator and administrator with the New York City Board of Education in the Bronx and Manhattan, later working in Home Instruction.
Seymour’s passions extended beyond his career — he loved spending time with family and friends, relaxing at his Florida home, and enjoyed reading, bridge, theatre, old movies, exercise and a nice red wine.
Donations in Seymour’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association https://www.alz.org/ or
Advocates for Children of New York, an organization that ensures a high-quality education for NYC students who face barriers to academic success with deep, long running special education advocacy in NYC schools. https://advocatesforchildren.org/
The family will be hosting a Shiva on Monday, November 3rd, from 2:00–5:00 PM at Mona’s residence, Brightview Senior Living of Harrison, 600 Lake Street, West Harrison, NY 10604.
