Salvatore Sabatino

My Dad Salvatore Sabatino was born in Corleone, Italy on December 2, 1933 to Domenico and Lucia. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart who he married on October 7, 1959 and came to America in 1960. My dad worked and retired from the NYC Housing Authority.

They bought their first house in the Bronx and raised two children there, Dominic and Lucy. In 1984, they bought a second house in Greenburgh, where my dad enjoyed gardening and playing with his six grandchildren: Laura, Lisa, Michael, Salvatore, Christopher, and Matthew. Being a Nonno was the best job my dad ever had. His wife, children, and grandchildren (or as he called them “my babies”) were his whole world and he was ours.
