Salvatore Casarella

Salvatore (Sal) Casarella of West Harrison, NY passed away peacefully February 8, 2013 in Hamilton, NJ at the age of 89. He was born April 30, 1923 to the late Joseph and Julia Casarella, and predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Louise.
He is survived by his daughters Julie (Michael) Fitzmaurice and Jane (Kenneth) Uhaze as well as 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Bridgid and John Fitzmaurice. Sal served his country as a marine during WWII in the Pacific in the first division as a cave and tunnel expert.
The family will be receiving friends at the Ballard-Durand Funeral home; 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains, NY on Sunday February 10, from 4pm- 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday February 11 at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.
