Ruth Ann Kandalaft

December 21, 1943---January 14, 2019

• Passed away suddenly in White Plains Hospital, surrounded by family

• Was the most agreeable Sagittarius you'll ever meet

• Spoke English and Spanish beautifully, and enunciated every syl-la-ble

• Was the first person you'd call with good news, and the first one to console you when your news was bad

• Loved everyone, and listened intently about their interests and hobbies, no matter how boring

• Pronounced "salmon" like "almond" and "almond" like "salmon"

• Collector of beautiful things, people, and memories

• Puzzle expert and enthusiast

• She was a nurse who married a surgeon, after an unflattering pickup line. She herself was a teddy bear surgeon to her grandchildren.

• Invented her own musical jingles for any and all arbitrary tasks

• Looked like a movie star right till the end

• In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale in Mom's name
