Ruth D Eaton

Ruth D. Eaton of Hawthorne, NY died on at the age of 94. She was born March 5, 1926 to Ahna and Albert DeJeu in Akron, Ohio. Ruth is survived by her son John Longyear and wife Christine of Bedford, Tx, daughter Judith Longyear Rich and husband Thomas of Salida, CA, son Jerry Longyear and wife Deborah of Stamford, CT, son Frank Eaton and wife Michelle of Hawthorne, NY, son Timothy Eaton of New York, NY and a brother Paul DeJeu and wife Janet of Ft. Myers, FL. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Eaton in September 2018. Ruth was a graduate of Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL. She was an Office Assistant in the Public Relations Office of Westchester Community College for 20 years and at Bicoastal Properties, Inc. in Tuckahoe, NY for 7 years. She was an active member of Ridgeway Alliance Church for over 50 years serving as a teacher, Deaconess, Ladies Missionary group and in many other ways.

In deference to the COVID-19 emergency, the family is holding a small, private service, though a public memorial will be held in the future.
