Rose Gloria Alfredo Carille passed away peacefully at age 96 on June 27, 2026, surrounded by loving family. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Frank Rocco Carille. Rose was born on August 9, 1929, in Mount Vernon, New York, to Albert and Rose Alfredo. She leaves behind a warm legacy of devotion to family and friends across both Scarsdale, New York and Juno Beach, Florida.
For more than 35 years, Rose played an instrumental role in helping manage her father's nursery, hotel, and horse racing businesses in White Plains, New York, and Miami, Florida. At age 65, she and Frank retired to Juno Beach, Florida, a place she would proudly call home for more than 30 years.
Rose lived a full and vibrant life, enjoying travel with family and friends while always treasuring her return to Juno Beach. There, she built many lasting friendships, serving as a member of the Brigadoon Condominium Association. Rose found great joy in her oceanfront living, playing Mahjong, and teaching and playing Bridge - a game she learned at age 90. Rose opened her home to all who knew her, often showing them her favorite spots to wine and dine in the Juno Beach area.
Rose was predeceased by her sister, Nancy DePippo, and her brothers, Joseph Alfredo and Frank Alfredo.
She is survived by her loving sons, Peter and his wife, Mary, of East Hanover, New Jersey, and Francis and his wife, Ann, of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She will be deeply missed by her eight cherished grandchildren: Blake, Justina (Patric), Eric (Bethany), Jamie (Sean), Peter (Gabriela), Martin (Eilis), Cory, and Jilliana.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lucas, Hannah, Serena, Patric, Adelina, and Alicia, along with
many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rose's life and honor her memory at a funeral service held at 10am on July 9th at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home of Hawthorne, 21 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY.
