Ronald G Peifer

Ronald G. Peifer, Sr. of Hartsdale, NY died on March 5, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was 63 years old. Ronald was born on July 9, 1950 in Bronx, NY. He married Ellen Peifer on November 14, 1969. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1972 during the Vietnam Era. Ronald proudly served the NYPD for 40 years, retiring in July 2013 as an NYPD Police Captain. He was an active member of the NYPD Benevolent Association and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Ronald is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Ellen Peifer; his two daughters, Dawn (Benjamin) Weiss and Laurie Marie (David) Terry; his son Ronald G. Peifer II; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth (Vincent) Bruno, who was like a daughter to him. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Sarah, Rachel, and Kaitlyn. Ronald was loved by his two sisters, brothers-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by the NYPD Patrol Services.
