Ronald A. Catucci, 86, passed away peacefully at home in Elmsford, New York, on June 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ronald was born on November 19,1939, in Greenwich Village, New York, to Frank Catucci and Antionette Catucci (Rubicco). He spent his early years in Greenwich Village, where he participated in programs through the Children's Aid Society, forming lifelong friendships that remained dear to him throughout his life. His summers were spent in Elmsford, where he played basketball at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church; it was there that he met Marilyn, the love of his life and his wife of 65 years.
Ronald graduated from Rutgers Banking School and began his career with County Trust Bank in 1961. He later helped build American Maritime Services into a successful company, where he proudly served as co-owner.
Ronald believed deeply in giving back to his community. He was involved with the Greenburgh Pop Warner Youth Football program, mentoring young athletes and helping shape future generations. His commitment to service and community was recognized with the Martin Luther King Jr. Achievement Award, an honor that reflected the compassion, generosity, and integrity with which he lived his life.
An avid sports enthusiast, Ronald especially loved golf and hockey. Nothing brought him greater joy than cheering on his grandchildren from the sidelines, proudly watching them play the sports they loved. Whether on the golf course, at the rink, or surrounded by family, he found happiness in life's simple moments and in the people he loved most.
Above all, Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. His kindness, wisdom, unwavering support, and strength touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on through his family, the countless lives he influenced, and the community he loved so dearly.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marilyn Catucci (Stephenson); his children, Frank (Nina), Ronald (Dawn) and Deborah; his cherished grandchildren, Ronald, Vincent, Breanna, Lauren, Lexi and Maya; his great-grandchildren, Lucille and Robert; his siblings, Sabato and William.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ronald's life at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home (72 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY, 10523) for visitation on Wednesday, July 1, from 4-8 PM. A burial service and final goodbyes will be done on Thursday, July 2, at 9 AM, also at Ballard-Durand, and ending at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Feeding Westchester, in honor of Ronald's lifelong commitment to enriching the community he loved.
