Rocco F. Bambace, a resident of West Harrison, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 22, 2021.  He was born to the late Rocco G. and Maria “Connie” (Mezzancello) on 2/28/52.  He was married to his loving wife, Valerie (Carnemola) Bambace, who predeceased him.  He is survived by his two children who were the loves of his life, his daughter, Heather (Bambace) Attenello and son-in-law, Gary, and his son, Nicholas Bambace.  He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Daniella and Juliana Bambace and Kyle and Mackenzie Attenello, who brought great love and joy to his life.  He will also be greatly missed by his sister, Sherry (Bambace) Salerno, and brother-in-law, Joseph, and he was also very proud to be the uncle of his two nephews, Joseph and Robert (Jaclyn) Salerno and the most recent addition to the family, Makayla Rae Salerno.  Rocco was also most proud of his relationship with all of his Bambace and Mezzancello cousins. He also leaves behind many devoted friends.

Rocco was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church where he could be found every Sunday at the 8:00 a.m. Mass.   His next great joy in life was his love of music.  He was an accomplished drummer whose expertise was second to none.  He also cherished his lifelong relationships with all of his former band members. If one knew Rocco, you may have been lucky enough to have been given one of his famous “pencil drawings.”  You also may have been given one of the many famous nicknames that he had for both family, friends and neighbors.  To remember Rocco, one could only do so with a smile on their face.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, 10/26/21 , from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home located in White Plains, NY.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 10/27/21, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church.  Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
