Robert Svede

September 27, 1941 — December 24, 2023

Robert Svede, 82 was called home to Heaven on December 24, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of the late Alice Ann Svede (nee Hughes).

He was born in Bronx, New York to Herman and Emily (Ozal). After meeting and marrying the love of his life, Alice, they moved to various towns within Westchester County where they raised their two daughters. Bobby, as he was known, co-owned a successful construction company with his brother until his retirement.

Bobby was a kind and giving man. He never said no to a request for help. He was quietly generous and never expected or needed anything in return. No one will ever know exactly how many people he helped because he never said a word about it. His generosity came with no strings nor need to brag. It was true and a testament of his beautiful spirit.

He will remembered most for his amazing stories. His life was full of adventures and characters from all walks of life. His stories are legendary not only to his family but to everyone he met. Even in his final days, he shared stories with new people. "To tell you the truth," he was the greatest son, brother, dad, friend and man.

He is survived by his daughters, Alice Ann Maisano (Anthony), Karol Walsh (Barry), his brother Albert Svede (Peggy), and his absolute pride and joy, his grandchildren, Lianna (Ethan), Nicholas, Julia and Christopher. He was predeceased by his sister Eleanor Svede.

As per his wishes, there will be no viewing or public service. Donations to the American Heart Association or Wounded Warrior Project in his name would be greatly appreciated.
