Rita Monteforte

Rita Monteforte, 56, of Armonk, New York, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on April 9, 1970, in The Bronx, New York, Rita lived a life centered around faith, family, love, and generosity. A devoted Catholic, she carried compassion and kindness into every room she entered and touched the lives of countless people through her selflessness, warmth, and unwavering support for those she loved.

Rita was the beloved wife of Rino Monteforte and a deeply devoted mother to Rino Jr., Anthony, Daniella, and Chiara, who were the center of her world. Nothing brought her greater joy than loving and caring for her family. Her strength, guidance, and unconditional love will forever remain with them.

She is survived by her loving mother, Lucia D'Elia; her sister, Felicia D'Elia; and her brother, Tonio D'Elia, and his wife Cristina. Rita is also lovingly remembered by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.

She was predeceased by her father, Romualdo “Vito” D'Elia, and her cherished best friend, Kathy Scaglione, with whom she now reunites in eternal peace.

Rita will be remembered for her generous heart, her deep love for others, and the way she always put family before herself. Her presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to so many, and her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved her.
