Phyllis Jean Schneider (née Bucciarelli) of Armonk, New York passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Philip and Sylvia Bucciarelli on February 13, 1950, in Mount Vernon, New York, Phyllis was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School, class of 1968, and attended Iona College. She held a career in Human Resources, most recently spending almost 15 years at Mount Kisco Medical Group as the Human Resources Director, before retiring. In her years in HR, she was a mentor to many, providing career guidance and coaching. Outside of the workplace, she enjoyed playing softball and tennis, traveling, and watching her beloved New York Yankees. While she was passionate about her career, she was most passionate about her family. She married her beloved husband Grant in 1978, and they were married for more than 44 years, before his passing in 2023. They raised two daughters together and were the proud grandparents of two grandsons. Phyllis had the tremendous privilege of being able to live with her grandsons in her final years. She loved nothing more than being with her family. In addition to her love of her family, she was a friend to so many. In every corner of her life, she made lasting friendships. Before Grant’s passing, they spent several years splitting time between New York and a home in Florida, often out on a boat in Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway with Grant steering the way. In her final years, many know that Phyllis lived with strength and courage despite her diagnosis of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. She never let it deter her from enjoying her life. She was a true example of bravery and determination.
Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Lindsay and Ashley (Tom), and grandchildren Maxwell and Teddy. She is also survived by her brother, Edward (Donna), and nieces and nephews.
