Peter V. Lentini

Peter V. Lentini Sr., 85 of Valhalla, NY, (formally of Bronx, N.Y.) passed away on August 8, 2021. Pete was born on June 29, 1936 and was raised in the Bronx by his parents, the late Victor and Josephine Lentini. He is survived by his children, Toni-Marie DiMassimo of Delray Beach, FL, Dawn (Kevin) Cioffi of Melbourne, FL, Thomas (Faye) DiMassimo of Savannah, GA, Jennifer (Don) Lundberg of Lake Mary, FL and Peter (Heather) Lentini Jr. of Bronxville, NY, his cherished grandchildren Raymond (Kathryn) Beninato, Alex (Alison) Beninato, Blake (Oriana) Quick, Tommy DiMassimo, Nick DiMassimo, Hayden and Justin Lundberg and Grace Lentini; his Great-Grandchildren Emma and Chloe Quick, Geoffrey, Gwen, Marcus, Evangeline, and Josephine Beninato. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years Elaine; his brothers Philip, Anthony, and sister Rosemarie.

Pete was a proud member of Amalgamated Lithographers of America Local One. He retired in 1997 after 40+ years working on 5 & 6 color Heidelberg printing presses. Along the way, he worked on notable print campaigns for IBM, Major League Baseball, NASA, and with artist Peter Max. At one time, he was considered one of the finest Lithographers in New York City. In his spare time, he was a member of the Valhalla Lions Club, The LaBue Foundation, and enjoyed attending Sunday Mass at Holy Name of Jesus.

Pete's love of life didn’t come to an end with his passing – his legacy lives on through the lives he touched with his love and kindness. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, N.Y. at 10 AM. Interment, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in the name of Elaine Lentini, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or The Special Needs Ability Program in the name of the Lentini Family.
