In Loving Memory of Pearl Isloe Johnson

Pearl Johnson, aged 95, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. Though her long and fulfilling life has come to an end, her warmth and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Pearl was born on September 12, 1930, in Plymouth, England, to Frank and Gladys Bussell. She grew up in Exeter, Devon, and often recalled her English childhood with great fondness, enjoying sharing stories from her youth.

Pearl made everyone feel truly cared for, taking time to listen and offer encouragement. She was a devoted mother to her three sons, a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loyal friend. Her kindness and support touched the lives of all who knew her.

She enjoyed watching movies and reading thrillers, particularly the works of Dean Koontz. She had a lifelong love of animals, and over the years her cats, Biscuit and Tabitha, and dog Mila, brought her great joy.

Pearl was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Gladys Bussell; her sister, Gloria Noga; her grandson, Justin Wamboldt; her niece, Gaynor Toye; her nephew, Robert Toye; and her husbands, Aubrey Wamboldt and John Johnson.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Wamboldt, Andrew Johnson, and Bruce Johnson; her grandchildren, Stephanie Bennett and her husband, Guerdon Bennett, Nicholas Wamboldt, Samantha Johnson, Danielle Johnson, and Adele Johnson; and her great-grandchildren, Sierra Bennett and Gabrielle Bennett. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Lisa Johnson and Yin Johnson; her nephew, Laurence Noga; her beloved sister, Christine Toye, and her husband, Clive Toye; her cousin John Cockayne in England and many wonderful long-term friends.

Pearl had the opportunity to celebrate her 95th birthday in September, surrounded by family and friends. Loved ones traveled from all over the country to be with her, and her sister, Christine, was able to join as well. It was a wonderful celebration that she recalled with great fondness.

Pearl will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
