Paula (Tarnowski) Lumalcuri

Paula Tarnowski-Lumalcuri 67,formerly of Yonkers, NY and most recently of Hartsdale, N.Y. passed away very suddenly on August 18, 2022. Paula was born in Yonkers, NY to Clara and Watson Tarnowski.  Paula is predeceased by her husband, Gary Lumalcuri. She is also predeceased by cousin Cynthia Ribinski who she was raised with like a sister.  Paula is survived by her loving children, Amanda Lumalcuri-Totino (Kenneth) and Matthew Lumalcuri (Amanda). She is also survived by her 2 granddaughters whom she loved “to the moon and back,” Savannah Totino (7) and Kassidy Lumalcuri (2). She is also survived by another close cousin, Alberta Ribinski, and many friends who are like family.

Paula was a former employee of St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers where she worked for over 40 years.  She recently retired a few years ago and was living her best life.  She loved shopping, the beach, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. But the thing she loved most were her children and grandchildren. Whether it was just sitting on the deck or playing dolls with her granddaughters, Paula was happy. She loved everyone and was so full of life. The word “no” was not in her vocabulary and she was always around to provide support, help and friendship. Paula will be missed by all who knew her.

Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, August 22,2022 from 4-8 PM. Where Religious Services will be held on Tuesday, 10 AM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers, N.Y.
