Patricia J. Dunican

Born on St. Patrick's Day 1941, Patricia Jean Doherty Dunican was a force of nature. She was from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Mother of five and devoted to their spouses, Mary Colleen (Lawrence Spallanzani), Patrick Jr. (Christina Lakis), John (Jill Gallina), Tara (Pasquale Ferrara), and Dr. Annmarie (Dr. Thomas Rocco).

She met the love of her life, Patrick, and was married at 19. He passed in 2003 but was with her everyday since 1961 when they married.

They raised their family in Teaneck, New Jersey and were parishioners at St. Anastasia. She is also survived by her sister Joan Byrne, her brother John Doherty and her sister-in-law Maureen Touhey. She is predeceased by many but is with them now smiling and laughing.

She is survived by her five children and fourteen beloved grandchildren, Kristin (Brian Kloeblen), Lawrence and Samantha Spallanzani, Morgan and Michael Dunican, Jack and Jamie Dunican, Giuliana, Pasquale and Giancarlo Ferrara, Thomas, Joseph, Mia, and Cole Rocco and her wonderful great grandson Rory Kloeblen.

Wake will be held at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY. on Friday, May 8 from 9-11.

Her funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 170 Broadhurst Ave. Hawthorne, NY at 12:00.
