Panagiota (Peggy) Papadakis

Peggy Papadakis died on May 28,2022 at White Plains Hospital. She was 88
years old and a resident of The Kensington of White Plains.

Peggy was born in New York City on December 18, 1933 to George
Papadakis and Mary Ralli, both of whom were immigrants from
Thessaloniki, Greece. Peggy, whose Greek name was Panagiota, lived in
Astoria, Queens for most of her life, enjoying the vibrant Greek community.
She was pre-deceased by her older brother Galen.

Peggy studied art and architecture at Pratt Institute in New York City. She
was a consummate New Yorker, visiting museums and architectural
treasures. For forty years, Peggy worked as a secretary at the Council on
Foreign Relations in Manhattan, where she met celebrities, politicians, world
leaders. She was knowledgeable about world affairs, privy to the latest news
and events.

Peggy is survived by her nephew, George, great- nieces, Alexis and Jennifer,
and her extended family members, including: Diane Wrobleski, Michael
Pappas, Lois Zito, Bob Laviano. She was personable and charming and
adored by the loving caregivers at The Kensington.
