Nurys is survived by Lisette Tabales - daughter, of Cold Spring, Myra Medina - daughter.

Nurys is preceded in death by Miguel Aponte - father, Rosa Molina - mother

The service for Memorial Nurys Molina will be held on May 16, from 530pm to 8pm at Ballard and Durand 2 Maple Ave, White Plains, NY 10601

It is with profound sorrow and immense gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of our mother Nurys Aponte Molina a radiant force of resilience, love, and creativity, who departed this world, leaving it far more beautiful than she found it.

Born in the Dominican Republic, she came to the United States at just 19 years old, a young woman with a courageous heart and a fierce determination to build a better future. With grace and grit, she laid the foundation for a life rooted in family, service, and compassion. She raised three children of her own and opened her home, room by room, heart by heart, to loved ones arriving from afar, guiding them as they found their footing in a new land.

A masterful seamstress and a visionary interior designer, her artistry brought warmth and beauty into countless homes. Yet her greatest masterpiece was the world she created within her walls, a sanctuary of laughter, comfort, and unconditional love. She was a steadfast ally and a joyful host to her LGBTQ family, offering them not just a place at her table but a place in her heart.

To all who crossed her threshold, she was more than a mother, sister, or friend, she was a safe harbor, a fierce protector, and a wellspring of empathy. Her strength was quiet but unshakable, her kindness boundless.

She leaves behind her devoted daughters, Lissette and Mayra, who will carry her legacy of love and resilience forward. Though her passing leaves an ache that cannot be measured, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved son Felipe, her parents, and her siblings, embraced once more by those who went before her.

She was the heart of our family, the soul of our celebrations, and the light in our darkest moments. Her memory will forever live on in the stories we tell, the homes she shaped, and the lives she lifted.

Te quiero tanto mami, sleep in peace.....
