Norma Francis

January 25, 1937 — May 25, 2025

Ocala, FL

Norma Fay Francis was born on January 25, 1937, in Jamaica, West Indies, to Lucille Lewis and Bertram Riley. She married Peter Livingston Francis on April 9, 1966, and together they migrated to the United States in 1969 in search of greater opportunities.

After settling in America, Norma began her career with the New York Telephone Company, which later became NYNEX. She worked faithfully as a clerk until her retirement, exemplifying dedication and excellence in all she did.

In the early 1990s, Norma came to faith and devoted her life to serving others through ministry. She was a dedicated member of Oneness Rehoboth Apostolic Church in Mt. Vernon, NY, where she tirelessly supported the food pantry ministry, helping to feed the poor, and faithfully served in the Sunday School department. Later, she became a cherished member of The Life Church New York, where she proudly served as a tither and Vision Partner. Even after relocating to Ocala, Florida, she continued to worship faithfully online, remaining spiritually connected to her church family.

Norma had a deep love for her family and found joy in caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for her delicious cooking, her passion for shopping, and her love of dining at PF Chang's. A joyful and lively spirit, Norma also loved to dance and brought energy and light to every room she entered. She was a prayer warrior, proudly embracing this mantle from her beloved mother and our influential family matriarch, Lucille "Ma Lu" Lewis.

Norma leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and generosity that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Laverne Davis, Ann Marie Miles, Natalie Goulbourne, Michelle Reese, Wayne Francis, and her surrogate son, Carl Goulbourne. She was a devoted grandmother to Caleb Miles, Adriell Miles, Chavelli Miles, Cameron Goulbourne, Karla Goulbourne, Kyle Goulbourne, Keturah Woodley, Micaah Woodley, Haleigh Francis, and Ryleigh Francis.

She also leaves behind two cherished great-grandchildren, Amaris Reid and Kehlani Goulbourne, who brought her immense joy.
