Nicoletta (Coletta) Rutigliano

Nicoletta Rutigliano (Coletta) 89, formerly of Bronx and most recently of Hawthorne and Pleasantville, N.Y. born January 9, 1930 entered eternal rest on August 27, 2019.  Coletta was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many and will be greatly missed. She would have celebrated her 90th birthday this coming January.  She was predeceased by her parents Felice & Maria Rutigliano, her sisters and their spouses, Lena &Tory Languilli, Mary & John Leonetti, Louise & Anthony LaVolpe, her brother and his spouse Jerry & Carolyn Rutigliano as well as a nephew Robert Languilli and great-nephews EJ Kelly and James Karcher.  Coletta graduated from Jane Adams Vocational High School and the Drake School of Business.  She was a communicant of St. Frances of Rome Church in the Bronx and Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne NY.  Coletta worked in the Garment Industry and for Alexander’s Department store for many years.  After retiring from Alexander’s, she worked as the secretary at Holy Rosary Church, retiring 2 years ago. She remained very active until recently participating in the many activities at Holy Rosary and going out with her family and friends. Coletta was active in the Daughters of St. Frances of Rome for many years s and was involved in many Ministry areas at Holy Rosary Church including working on the annual bazaar and a member of the Rosary Altar Society.  She also served on the Board of her Co-Op.  Coletta is survived by her nieces Colette (Gary) West and Anna Hartz and she was a part of their extended family while they were growing up as she lived with them in the Bronx and Hawthorne.  Coletta is also survived by her nephews and their families, Toby & MaryJane Languilli, Philip & Debbie Languilli, Frank &Julie LaVolpe and Philip LaVolpe as well as her nieces and their husbands, Anna & Frank Monaco and Angela & Lance Freeman as well as many great nieces and nephews.  Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday from 9-10:45 AM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, NY on Friday 11 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in her name to either Rosary Hill Home or Holy Rosary Church would be appreciated.
