Nancy Young

Nancy Toy Young died January 9, 2024. She was born in 1934 in Newark, Ohio, and grew up in Granville. She graduated from Oberlin college and Western Reserve University. She was a librarian: primarily with the Enoch Pratt Free Library of Baltimore, Maryland; the United States Army in Germany; and eventually at the White Plains Public Library in New York, from which she retired as Chief of Adult Reader/Information Services. In retirement she was a volunteer at Rosary Hill Nursing Home, Schnurmacher Nursing Home, New York Hospital Westchester Division, and the Rye Association for the Handicapped.

Her husband died in January 2020

She is survived by a brother, David H. Toy, two nieces, one Greatniece, three greatnephews, and a GreatGrandniece.
