Nancy Capozzi

Nancy Jane Capozzi, 84, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a full-time resident of Largo, Florida. She was born on March 28, 1939, in the Bronx, New York, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Olympia Bologna. Nancy grew up in Bronx, NY where she graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in June 1956 with honors. In December 1990 she furthered her education and studied Paralegal Law at Mercy College where she graduated with distinction and high honors. Nancy had a successful career as a paralegal specializing in matrimonial law until she retired well into her seventies.

She married her husband Ralph Anthony Capozzi on September 4, 1960, and they raised their 3 children in Yonkers, New York. Nancy is predeceased by her husband Ralph Capozzi, and her sibling Dominick Bologna. She is survived by her brother Harry Bologna Jr. (RuthAnn) of Largo, FL and sister Linda Ferri of Largo, FL and brother Michael Bologna (Josephine) of Berthoud, CO. Her 3 children, daughter Lisa Capozzi-Rauso (Raymond) of Sandy Hook, CT, daughter Laura Capozzi of Yonkers, NY, and son Ralph Capozzi (Gina) of Yorktown Heights, NY. Nancy had four grandsons, Anthony Capozzi, Michael Capozzi, Dante DiGilio, and Dean DiGilio. She also left behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, an aunt, and many close friends. Nancy's family meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment she was with them. Her home was always open to all and filled with great food and lots of love. She was a parishioner of Saint Mathews in Largo, Florida and was very active in her Palm Hill Country Club community also in Largo, Florida. She will be forever missed by all that loved and knew her.

Funeral Mass, Holy name of Jesus Church, 2 Broadway Valhalla, NY 10595 on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital or charity of choice.
