Michele Longo

Michele Longo (“Melo”) of Chappaqua and formerly of White Plains, N.Y. passed away on June 15th, 2022 at the age of 92. He was born January 27th, 1930 in Catania, Sicily. He was a member of the Italian Air Force and also owned an auto body shop. After moving to New York with his wife and two daughters, he worked as a painter until he retired. He loved fishing, painting, and making signs and other crafts for his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his brother Orazio, and is survived by his wife Concetta, his daughter Pina and her husband Eugene, his daughter Lucy and her husband Rosario, his sisters Anna and Giovanna, his brother Francesco, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, June 20,2022 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Entombment will take place at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, N.Y. on Tuesday, June 21,2022 at 11 AM.
