Michael Priore

Michael Priore of Hawthorne, NY met Our Lord on November 25,2023. He was surrounded by his family. Michael was the beloved son of Mario and Vincinzina Maria, born April 28, 1938, in East Harlem, NY where he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

He married the love of his life and best friend, Mary Ann on November 9, 1968 at Good Shepherd Church in Inwood, NY. They were inseparable, always taking care of each other.

Michael is survived by his wife Mary Ann, his loving children Michael ( Dawn) and Diana; "Pop Pop" to his granddaughters, Mia and Gianna, who he loved very much, and his brother Robert (Grace).

Michael worked as a Signal Maintainer for the NYC Transit Authority. He was also a Photographer, Floral Arranger and Driver's Ed Instructor. After retirement, he enjoyed being the cook, painting, playing chess, but most of all spending time with family.

He was a daily parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, an altar server, usher, greeter and taught religious education alongside his wife for ten years.

His faith was at the center of his life and guided him in all he did. It is Michael's helpfulness, gentleness and patience that we will always remember. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts and minds.
