Michael Joseph Fiorillo, "Mike", age 98, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 8, 2020. Born in New York on March 12, 1922 to Bernardino and Concetta Fiorillo, Mike will be remembered for his lifetime of kindness, his selfless generosity, his sense of humor, and mostly for his love for Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, he was a faithful man of prayer who found great joy in attending church. Even during challenging times, Mike was known to say "God has been good to me", never forgetting the One from Whom all blessings flow.

In addition to a large extended family, Mike is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, all of whom loved him dearly: Linda Fiorillo, Lorayne Fiorillo, and Lois Mary and Shaun Huggins. He also leaves behind his dear grandson, Max Michael Marienberg. Mike and his beloved, cherished wife, Lucille, were married for 68 years before she was called to her heavenly home in 2016. With their sweet baby daughter, Barbara, who passed in 1952, they will, at last, be reunited. Mike's parents, brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

A wounded war veteran who received numerous medals, Mike served honorably as Private First Class in the Signal Corps of the US Army during World War II from December, 1942 to January, 1946 in both the European and Pacific theaters. It was during his time in the service that Mike perfected his Donald Duck impersonation, with which he entertained and delighted everyone he met for decades. For many years, Mike and his brothers owned and operated a private carting business in New Jersey.

After Mike and Lucille raised their family in Scarsdale, NY, and following Lucille's passing, Mike lived at the Kensington Senior Living in White Plains, NY. There, he made close friends among the staff and residents.

We are especially grateful to the many family members and friends who made great efforts to connect with him later in his life. We also give our heartfelt thanks to the Kensington team, and to Mike's extraordinary physician, Emre Noteroglu, MD. They tirelessly and lovingly cared for Mike as though he were part of their family. While his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, Mike's legacy will long be remembered.

A private Christian burial will be held in the coming days. At a future date to be determined, a memorial celebration will be held for family and friends.
