Matthew Thomas Benedict

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Thomas Benedict. Matthew passed away on Saturday, December 25th, 2021, at the age of 22. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. Matthew was born on October 31st, 1999 in White Plains, NY, to Barbara and Thomas Benedict. He attended Westlake High School. He loved spending time and taking drives with his dog, Nas. He loved and cherished making memories with his girlfriend and best friend, Mika Perl. He most enjoyed socializing and spending time with his friends. Matthew is survived by his parents, Thomas and Barbara, his sisters, Lauren and Kayla, as well as his grandparents Jane and Fred Benedict, uncles John and Joel Benedict, aunts, and cousins. Visitation will be held on Saturday Jan. 8, 2022 from 2-6PM at the Hawthorne Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to the SPCA of Westchester.
