Mary R. Ianniello

Mary R. Ianniello 96, of Carmel, N.Y. and formerly of Mt.Vernon, N.Y. died on May 28,2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on June 29, 1925 to the late Salvatore and Margarite (nee Dellacave) Sgammato in Mt.Vernon, N.Y. Mary was a graduate of Mount Vernon Schools in 1943. She was a loving and caring person with a wonderful capacity for life, a great sense of humor and a compassionate nature, also an avid baker and cook. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband John Ianniello in 1982 whom she married on June 23, 1946. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Angela Gioia and Margaret Ianniello both of Carmel, N.Y. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, June 2,2022 from 9-11 AM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.  In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN., would be appreciated.
