Mario M. Nigro

Mario M. Nigro 87, of Pelham Manor, N.Y. and formerly of Bronx, N.Y. died on March 2, 2009 at The NYS Veterans Home at Montrose. He was born on Jan.1, 1922 to the late John and Elvira Nigro in NYC. Mario proudly served in the US Army during WW11. He was a machine operator for Peerless Importers in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Catherine (nee Ramundo) Nigro in 2000, 1 brother Robert and 1 sister Roseann. Mario is survived by his loving children; John Nigro and his wife Janice of Yorktown Hgts., N.Y. and Marguerite O'Sullivan and her husband Denis of Pelham Manor, N.Y. 1 brother Arnold Nigro of Italy. Also survived by his 5 cherished grandchildren; Kristen, Stephen and Kaitlin O'Sullivan and Julia and Emily Nigro. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Friday 10 AM Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, NY. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
