Margaret Maloney

Margaret Maloney, born on August 13, 1928 in New York City, she died peacefully on November 25, 2016 at 88 years of age in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was the daughter of John C. Carrig and Margaret O'Connell Carrig. She was pre deceased by her husband of 54 years Richard J. Maloney. She is survived by her children: Arthur, Maloney, Maureen Andariese, Margaret Ann Kelly and Kathryn Maloney. She is also beloved by her nine grandchildren and three great grand children and we will all miss her beyond words. Her many wonderful friends brought her years of happiness during her time in Florida. Margaret rose to the rank of 1st Grade Detective in the New York City Police Department where her distinguished career spanned 32 years. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Friday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Saturday 10 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Interment to follow. She was beautiful – her beauty made the bright world dim and everything beside seem like the fleeting image of shade… Byron Shelly
