Lucille left us suddenly on May 3, 2024.
It was the simple things that Lucille enjoyed. Summers in Highland Lakes, NJ with her family, visits to the Botanical Gardens, trips to local theater and visits to New York City to take in a play. She especially enjoyed her vegetable garden, planting enough to ensure that once the rabbits and deer took their share, there were plenty of fresh vegetables left for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was an amazing cook. So much so that her son bartered with friends help with a project in exchange for mom's home cooking. She loved music; most days she enjoyed the radio or one of her many albums.
Lucille made sure that her children appreciated the importance of being well informed and self-sufficient. Her son is an avid reader because she regularly reminded her children of the value of learning through reading. She shared a love of animals both great and small with her family. She knew an addition to the family arrived when one of her kids yelled out "mom come see what I found".
Lucille returned to school after raising her children, she earned a collage degree. After graduation she worked for Baker Engineering in White Plains NY as an accountant.
Lucille is survived by her son Ronald Carilli Jr., daughter Cathy Carilli, son-in-law Mark Filipkowski, step-granddaughter Alexandra Sinton-Rivicki, sisters Lorraine Ciallela (James), and Janice Grippo (Daniel), many nieces, nephews, and friends.
